Fall of a Phony: John Edwards Fesses Up

It would seem that the political career of John Edwards is over and none too soon.  His years of basking in the public spotlight through the media’s superficial obsession with his looks and personality are at an abrupt halt thankfully.  This sanctimonious individual had the nerve to lecture North Carolina and America about our moral obligations as a state and a nation and then he carries on an affair and cover up, all while his wife has cancer.  Don’t get me wrong, Elizabeth Edwards is a mean spirited woman as evidenced by her overt campaigning in 2008(like anyone is going to respond effectively to a dying woman)  and her lecturing Dick Cheney on how to love your lesbian daughter in 2004.  But it never looks good for someone like Edwards to commit such an act and will probably mean his dreams of a judicial appointment or being attorney general in an Obama administration are DOA. 

Personally I never saw what the public saw in Edwards beyond his pandering.  He beat Lauch Faircloth campaigning as a centrist, did nothing for North Carolina beyond a far left voting record, and declined to run again for the Senate when polls showed him getting beaten by Richard Burr.  As a presidential candidate he went after very kooky left wing vote he could get and pandered to the NAACP crowd more then Obama did, albeit with less tangible results.  It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy and North Carolina is well rid of the prospect of Edwards ever again running for office.  Good bye and good riddens to this sissy britches phony.

Black Gangs Spark 300 Person Brawl in North Raleigh Mall

Saturday night saw anarchy and chaos come to the posh north Raleigh Triangle Town Center.  Apparently a gang related argument turned into a massive 300 person brawl that spilled from the food court into the parking lot.  Six arrests have been made and everyone has 3 guesses as to their ethnicity and the last two don’t count.  Another factor we’re all used to is the mother of one of the defendents coming out and saying that their child was falsely accused.  This my friends is what happens when we embrace multiculturalism as a virtue, our middle class neighborhoods and public venues become battlefields for thugs and the scum of society.  It is our hope that the mall embraces policies such as teenage curfews and requiring that they be accompanied by an adult at certain hours.  We can’t for the sake of political correctness refuse to take action until someone gets seriously hurt or killed.

Conservatives Halt Radical Homosexual Lobby in NC

It’s not often we get to hear about good developments coming from Raleigh but yesterday was just such a day.  A coalition of outraged Christian groups managed to sink a proposal to label homosexuals as bullying victims in state schools.  This measure sponsored by liberal Jewish Rep. Glazier (D-Fayetteville) seemed a sure thing but outrage by Christian groups stopped any votes on the matter.  That anyone should deem homosexuality a behavior worth protected is sickening to me and it’s sad that this was even discussed by the General Assembly.  The deviants will now run to the media and cry about discrimination, but today is a day for some celebration for this victory. 

I urge all of our members to call their State Senators and urge them to halt another terrible compromise in the works.  The Black Caucus and liberal Democrats are attempting to force racial discrimination to be considered in all death penalty cases before any move to get executions in North Carolina moving again.  If such a measure were passed it would be an OJ trial a month as lawyers will introduce all kinds of facts that do not pertain to the specific case in any manner.  Please call today.

The NC CofCC Mourns Jesse Helms. RIP 1921-2008

It is entirely fitting that Jesse Helms went home to his Maker on Independence Day.  Few public servants have so dedicated themselves to the service of their country with the selfless dignity of Senator No.  Our state has not had a servant like him before and will unlikely have such a man to represent us again.  We are all the less for it.

             It is hard to imagine that one soul from once small town Monroe could roil American politics like Jesse did.  It becomes even more difficult to imagine that the world is vastly changed thanks to his actions.  Had it not been for the efforts of Helms and the Congressional Club, Ronald Reagan would have been relegated to historical footnote.  In 1976, then Governor Reagan had challenged Gerald Ford for the Republican presidential and had suffered 5 straight defeats in a row.  On the ropes the Reagan campaign turned to Helms for a comeback miracle.  On March 23, 1976 Helms delivered and allowed Reagan to go on to become president four years later.  The Reagan Revolution that changed America and won the Cold War owed it all to the kid from Monroe.

            While being involved in every aspect of American political life, the Senator and his staff always came through for North Carolina.  While Jesse Helms was on Capitol Hill we saw very few military installations shuttered in this state.  Textile, furniture, and other manufacturing workers didn’t have to worry about their senator voting for trade deals like NAFTA or CAFTA, unlike today.  Perhaps most revealing of Helm’s dedication, no constituent concern was too big or small as many people who took time to write the Senator saw their letters personally answered, and not in a canned form letter.  Despite being a leading crusader on so many issues Jesse Helms cared enough to take the time to answer the people, something not seen often enough today.  It is a style that Senator’s Dole and Burr as well as Congressman McHenry would be well served to emulate. 

            It is hard for those outside North Carolina to understand how we could elect Jesse Helms and send him to Washington for 30 years.  Given his strong Christian faith, his ability to tell it like it is, and his tenacity in the face of adversity, I believe Jesse Helms represented the best the Tarheel state had to offer.  Whether you agreed or disagreed, everyone from Manteo to Murphy knew where Jesse Helms stood.  We never had to look at past statements or stances to search for flip flops for political expediency.  Helms was the same man in 2002 upon retirement as he was when he arrived on Capitol Hill in 1973.  There is simply no better compliment for a public servant then that they have remained as true to oneself as Jesse Helms did.  It is our greatest misfortune that we shall probably never see the like of Jesse Helms again on Capitol Hill to keep everyone straight, and never back down from what they know is right.

            In 1826 on the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, former presidents John Adams and Thomas Jefferson passed away.  The symbolism of these two political giants passing on that day was overwhelming for the Republic they helped give birth to.  It was just as symbolic to see Jesse Helms’ 86 year journey that began in Monroe end on the birthday of the nation he loved so much.  It can be said that North Carolina’s loss is Heaven’s gain as it now has the best legislator one could ask for.

 

 

 

Illegal Alien Exodus From NC Accelerating

A recent story in the Charlotte Observer is outlining a promising trend in reversing illegal immigration and hopefully preserving the European-American culture of the United States intact.  With the housing bust and a dirth of new construction, illegal aliens are running out of work.  Combined with new crackdown measures, many are leaving North Carolina and this is a most welcome fact.  Let’s call for more of our local leaders to implement 287g or even more strident measures to force our unwelcome visitors to go home.

Wanted: A Sheriff Like Joe Arpaio

Maybe it’s the old fashioned side of me that was born from a time when old westerns and World War 2 movies, but I love tough guy sheriffs, cops, and those who tell politically correct types to kiss off.  And thats why I have all the admiration in the world for Sheriff Joe Arpaio out in Maricopa County, Arizona.  Very few sheriff’s in North Carolina measure up to Joe but former Mecklenburg County sheriff Jim Pendergraph came close and Wake County Sheriff Harrison is impressing me with his program to drive illegal aliens out of Wake County.  The difference is that Sheriff Joe makes no apologies for the goals of his programs, which is to deter crime and run illegal aliens out of Arizona.  What is needed in North Carolina is more like him, that will make life as difficult as possible for illegal aliens so that they’ll leave before ICE even has to rev up the vans and helicoptors for a raid. 

We have seen from Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia, and various locales in Virginia and North Carolina that when the heat turns up the illegals run for the hills.  Just as Pat Buchanan said in 1992 “block by block we’re taking our country back.”  Maybe the heat isn’t being turned up fast enough for some of us, and indeed in some locations pathetic politicians refuse to enforce the law because of their loyalty and fear of bloc voting.  In North Carolina however we have seen the two largest cities/metropolitan areas, Wake and Mecklenburg, sign up for the crackdown.  If it can be done there it can be done anywhere (except maybe Chapel Hell) and all members and readers in Wilmington and in rural counties should pressure their county commissioners to sign up for 287g and encourage even more measures along the lines of Beaufort County commissioner Hood Richardson;  Take down the Spanish signs, quit coddling the criminals, and take back the Old North State.  We have the examples, now we have to fight to make them reality here.

Wake County to Begin Deporting Illegal Aliens

Great news out of Wake County for us, those who hate illegal immigration, and those seeking to cut down on out of control urban sprawl.  The Wake County Sheriff’s Department will soon be open for the business of deporting illegal aliens thanks to the 287g program which Sheriff Harrison has signed the county up for.  In addition next door Johnson County has a deal by which Wake will process any illegal aliens picked up in Johnson County so now this program is covering even greater swaths of North Carolina.  As someone who went to college in Harnett County I can vouch that all of these areas are plagued by illegal immigration to a great degree.  With Wake now in the program which began in Mecklenburg we have the two largest counties and cities in North Carolina which are the mecca of the illegal alien invasion covered by law enforcement with the power to deport.  As a result the N&O reports that many illegals are packing up and heading home despite the crybaby attempts of the governor and Hispanic community to denigrate the program.

Another thumbs up goes to Beaufort County Commissioner Hood Richardson who has spearheaded a large crackdown in this coastal county against illegal aliens.  Using every bit of creativity the county has cut down on every concievable service going to illegals and has inspired many of our uninvited house guests to leave his county for more hospitable environs. 

Barring amnesty by the national government we are on the path to taking back our community and our states without any need for action in Washington.  As long as local law enforcement is allowed to deport illegal aliens then the only thing left to do is for Washington or the southwestern states to build the fence and secure the border to cut off the flood, while we drain the swamp through local and state law enforcment initiatives.  Is your county signed up yet?  Call up your local sheriff’s department and county commissioners to urge them to sign up today and you can see a difference in the quality of life in your own communites day.  Let’s keep up the good fight and in God’s good time we will emerge victorious.

Africans Bask in Obama Triumph, Expect Handouts Upon His Election

As if Raleigh didn’t need anymore traffic problems today Obama was in town to promise salvation and absolution for all suffering from white guilt while black voters are beside themselves with glee.  All members and conservatives should brace themselves as Obama is said to be making a play for both North Carolina and Georgia so those who never heard of the dark days of Radical Reconstruction will get a first hand lesson as Obama works to turn out black votes in droves.

One subject that the media seems to be downplaying is the anticipation that Africans are greeting Obama’s nomination and what seems at this point to be his probable election to the presidency.  If you will click on the link below you will find that Kenyans especially are hoping that Obama’s election will mean a torrent in foreign aid.  As if welfare here at home wasn’t enough we will be footing the bill for Africa while at the same time enduring amnesty under Obama if elected.  Now I know McCain wouldn’t be much better but Lord help us all if Obama is indeed elected president of this once great nation.

Immigration Dominating Senate Race Discussion

It’s a sad day to see that the cultural Marxist agenda is but one move away from installing an anti-white bigot in the White House but my friends it’s exactly where men like Adorno and Marcuse were destined to take us.  They knew that only when they broke the confidence of Middle America that they could then take control of this once great nation.  Now we’re down to a choice between two men who both want amnesty for illegal aliens and embrace a globalist agenda, one with taxes for Africa and the other with war without end in the Middle East.

Thankfully closer to home we are seeing illegal immigration being seized upon by Senator Dole with gusto.  Dole has in the past unfortunately supported CAFTA and other free trade deals which are now coming back to haunt her.  Fortunately for her, the Democrats put forward Kay Hagan who’s walking the tightrope of not offending white working class voters while pandering to Latinos.  Dole is now hammering Hagan on this and it is now up to us to push Dole further in our direction by calling for an end to open borders AND legal immigration which is swamping us even without illegal aliens.

Amnesty advocate Sen. Lindsey Graham will be making public appearances June 7th, 8th, and 9th. The CofCC is calling on South Carolinians to tell Graham to stop supporting amnesty.
