Al Sharpton’s trip to the Charlotte area yesterday was about all one would have expected from the so called Reverend. With 700 listeners Sharpton railed against the Democratic Party changing it’s rules, presumably just to keep the black man down. Don’t expect Sharpton’s rhetoric to change the tide in Nick Mackey’s favor as more and more black civic leaders are going mute on support for Mackey. Even Harvey Gant, the senatorial candidate defeated by Senator Jesse Helms in 1990 and 1996, is commenting that support in the black community for Nick Mackey is not unified which we can take as a sign it is also waning. Now the County Commissioners and the Democratic Party need to do the right thing and confirm Chip Bailey due to the illegal and fraudulent manner by which Nick Mackey tried to steal this election. Sharpton and his crowd may have had their day but if current trends continue then they’ll have lost the war over the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s race/

Mackey may not have 100% support in the black community, but he has total support among Mexicans. They know he’ll do nothing to enforce immigration laws.
